Didn't know I had Crohn's, but following a colonoscopy after a month of losing weight and not being able to keep anything in, found out that was the reason. The colonoscopy pierced my colon in several places, so a few days later I had an emergency Ileostomy. I go for my reversal in a few weeks, and I'm looking forward to not wearing this extra fashion accessory anymore. I hadn't thought of some of the complications following surgery that I may experience, but after reading yours, I hope I'll be able to ride out whatever comes with a smile and put a twist on it. Thank you so much for sharing ... and I too and am looking forward to chucking longer shirts from my closet :)Karen VKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05878220988871602589noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5721713429578824777.post-82360104833720999422013-07-05T23:02:51.812-07:002013-07-05T23:02:51.812-07:00Through the source of this share, the writer has s...Through the source of this share, the writer has seeking to provide the knowledge related to each basic fact of ileostomy reversal. I have 2 kids with Crohn's and it does help. Check out this website: breakingtheviciouscycle.info. Also the book: Breaking the Vicious Cycle by Elaine Gottschall. There are support groups for this diet. You do have to be fanatic though. It is a monosacchride diet that helps to starve out the bad bacteria in our guts. I hope for the best for you! Get well soon :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5721713429578824777.post-58570971480519265372011-09-15T06:39:53.864-07:002011-09-15T06:39:53.864-07:00xxKayPaynehttp://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000125625307#!/pages/Crohns-Disease-International-Network/166358013410594noreply@blogger.com
